Dynatup® Model 8200 Impact Test Instrument for Low Energy Testing

The Dynatup® Model 8200 Impact Test Instrument meets the need for a small mass drop weight impact test instrument with a wide range of adjustable energies and velocities. The 8200 is ideal for low energy testing of thin section or brittle plastics, composites, ceramics, and metals. The instrument's wide range of test configurations allows for testing of both specimens and actual components.

Features
  • The standard crosshead weight is variable from approximately 0.7 to 13.6 kg (5 to 25 lb)
  • Optional light weight crosshead
  • Adjustable crosshead release mechanism is included for varying the drop height
  • The impact energy is variable up to approximately 136 Joules (100 ft lb)
  • The impact velocity is variable up to approximately 14 ft/sec
  • Protective shield is included to protect the operator from flying debris
  • Rigid table for raising the work area and testing oversized components
